Gamble House

Website Design

2024

[03]

I designed a new website for The Gamble House with a focus on accessibility, clarity, and visual storytelling. The goal was to create an online experience that reflected the historical and architectural significance of the home, while also making it easier for visitors to engage with the organization.

Working within their brand guidelines, I applied their visual identity consistently across the site, using design elements that reflected the craftsmanship and character of the house itself. A key priority was creating an interface that gave users a sense of the look and feel of the space before ever stepping inside.

To support the organization's goals, I incorporated a micro menu that included quick access to search, donation, and other high-traffic pages. I also designed a prominent and easy-to-navigate section for upcoming tours and events, helping drive attendance and engagement. The site layout was structured to be accessible and intuitive, with an emphasis on legibility and flow. I paid special attention to the footer, organizing dense informational content in a way that felt both aesthetic and user-friendly.

The final result was a site that brought The Gamble House’s mission and beauty to the forefront while making it easier for users to take action and get involved.
